Canon's Customer Service

I shoot with a Nikon D300 and I am a huge Nikon fan. With that being said my little point and shoot camera is a Canon. A Canon PowerShot SD800 IS to be exact. :) On our last beach trip the camera just stopped working. I read a few suggestions online that said to take your camera and HIT it on a hard surface a few times, desperate I tried it. It started taking pictures again but the shot would only be clear if the lens was at a certain length. :( SO I had to call Canon. They were SO nice, the man said if they could not fix the camera for less then $150 I could get a refurbished one for that price. (part of the Canon loyalty program) That made me HAPPY!! So I shipped the camera off and about 4 days later I get an email with my "ESTIMATE" and it was only $127. to fix it and return it to me! I was SHOCKED. So all I had to do was click on the link and make payment so they would fix it. Then 3 days later I get my camera back. :0 I was totally impressed. The whole front plate was replaced as well as the rear plate. It works Great again.
